8:30–8:45 AM: Welcome & Introductions (Coffee/pastries provided)
8:45–9:00 AM:
- Mission & Vision: Present MAP’s purpose: “To unite Maryvale businesses, advocate for resources, and drive inclusive economic growth.”
- Why a Steering Committee? Explain its role: Strategic planning, event oversight, and community representation.
9:00–9:30 AM:
- Steering Committee Structure:
- Discuss size, term lengths, and roles (Chair, Secretary, Outreach Lead, etc.).
- Open nominations/self-nominations for initial members.
- Sign-Up Sheet: Collect interest forms for committee participation.
9:30–9:50 AM:
- Breakout Groups: Prioritize MAP’s first 3–6 month goals (e.g., workshops, grant advocacy, marketing campaigns).
- Report Back: Groups share top ideas for Steering Committee to action.
9:50–10:00 AM:
- Next Steps: Announce date for first Steering Committee meeting and how to stay engaged.
- Closing: Distribute contact list and feedback survey.
